The Head of Logistics / Logistics Director CEE Region is a member of the regional Management Team, reporting to the CEO. She/he is responsible for the overall management of the physical logistics & planning, inventory, third party warehousing, co-packing and transportation for 4 countries in the CEE Region (Poland, Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary) based either in Prague or Warsaw.

The main responsibility includes:

  • Shaping the vision and strategy of the logistics team and international cooperation within the CEE Region
  • Manage, develop, and assess the direct reports
  • Lead regular logistics review as well as 121s with direct reports
  • Ensuring the critical KPIs are met and delivered by the 3PLs as well as by the team
  • Provide support, motivation, and guidance to the team

Areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in Logistics / Supply Chain, in an international FMCG environment (ideally in Central-Easter Europe)
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience
  • Strong project management skills with a definite “completer / finisher” mentality
  • Team player, proactivity, strong communication skills, problem solver
  • Willingness to learn, work and take on responsibility in a demanding and fast-changing environment
  • Process orientation: holistic view of processes and experience in change management projects
  • An analytical mind, able to isolate key issues and plans major initiatives to minimize problems and exploit opportunities
  • Degree in Business Administration (preferably with a focus on Supply Chain) or equivalent education
  • Very good knowledge of English (Czech or Polish an advantage)
  • Knowledge of SAP and Excel
  • Travel up to 25%
Management of 3PL-partners

  • Responsible for the cooperation with the main logistics partners (HOPI and ID Logistics)
  • Monitor and control international inbound and outbound deliveries, coordinate extraordinary transportation issues together with our 3PL - Partners
  • Plan and coordinate international tenders aligned with our 3PL’s
  • Conduct benchmark analysis of our 3PL - Partners and initiate actions to upgrade their performance
  • Develop KPIs and strategies to enhance service levels and improve overall performance while reducing costs
  • Inventory management (tracking, analyzing, reporting, month-end processes)

Stakeholder Management
  • Cooperating with sales and marketing departments on creating and supervising demand plans of permanent as well as seasonal portfolio.
  • Consolidate upcoming needs and requirements from our local subsidiaries and adjust our processes and supply chain accordingly
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to improve services for our internal customers, process efficiency as well as cost structure

Process & Project Management

  • Building a strong SAP structure in the region through constant improvement of technical processes and ongoing innovations
  • Continuous developing of the following areas:
  • Understand IT systems that support supply and demand planning to recommend and support changes to enhance internal processes
  • Manage the business aspect of the IC EDI project with constantly enhancing the development and integration of EDI messages, including EDI transactions between Lindt CEE Region and the 3rd parties.

We are a regional team responsible for the markets Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia & Hungary. We operate out of four offices in Warsaw, Prague, Budapest and Bratislava. Our regional teams (Logistics, Marketing, Retail) work cross-boarder, based mainly in our biggest offices in Warsaw and Prague. Our team is amongst the youngest in the Lindt group with many opportunities for the career development thanks to the regional set-up and the fast expansion.
We operate 20 own stores in the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary and we continue expanding every year at a very high pace.
